DMCA Credit for Film Projects

The DMCA requests that you include the following acknowledgement in all productions that will be displayed, screened or exhibited in public i.e. all non-classroom presentations. Such situations include:

  • Class screenings to which other members of the Yale community or the general public are invited.
  • Exhibition on internet streaming sites such as YouTube or Vimeo which can be accessed by members of the Yale community or the general public.
  • Exhibition at film festivals, on television, or via theatrical release.
  • Any event screening to which members of the Yale community or the general public are invited.

In presentations where the acknowledgement might interfere with the aesthetic intent of the piece (such as gallery installations or theatrical projections) the acknowledgment credit must be included in any printed program or guide which accompanies the exhibit.

DMCA Acknowledgment Credit

The acknowledgement credit can be found in the video lab in the Final Cut Pro X Title Inspector in all installations of FCP X at the DMCA; if using Premiere or Aftereffects you can import directly from the desktop. The credit model is also available here.
